EVENT that triggered the OBE: trauma
SUMMARY of the experience: In May 2008, the experiencer (a commercial pilot) was flying alone when he crashed a floatplane in Canada. After leaving the plane and walking away, he realized that he had left his physical body back in the cockpit.
PHYSICAL REALITY EVIDENCE:
Although the unconscious severely injured pilot was found hanging upside down still belted in his seat, there was what appeared to be physical evidence that his astral body had traveled some distance from the plane.
LESSONS learned by the Experiencer:
"By seeing my lifeless body in the cockpit, I was suddenly aware of one universe and we are all one piece of the puzzle. … It was a moment of peace and some understanding."

Often the site of a plane crash is heavily documented. Since this must have been fairly close to the airport, were there any photos taken of the accident site? Is it possible to speak to the rescuer?
